Investment Managers – Franklin Global Advisers

Franklin Global Advisers brings more than six decades of investing experience to managing growth and core/hybrid strategies across global, international, and U.S. equities. Our bottom-up approach to investing seeks to deliver compelling performance for our clients through quality, in-depth research, which is the core strength and foundation of every portfolio. Each portfolio management team serves as a specialist for its particular stock selection criteria, while drawing on the deep research capabilities of a platform of analysts working with a shared philosophy.

The Franklin Global Advisers Advantage

  • Research Depth – Thorough company research prepared by industry specialists, combined with the perspective gained from communication among all research teams, sustains our bottom-up, fundamentally driven investment process.
  • Collaborative Investment Platform – Our global investment platform blends the experience, expertise, and best practices of multiple investment management teams, incorporating the insights of the U.S. research teams, global/non-U.S. teams, and further supplemented by local market specialists (based in Brazil, India, China, and South Korea). This enables each team to leverage added insight and global perspective.
  • Proven Disciplines – With a time-tested history spanning more than 60 years, Franklin Global Advisers brings a longstanding tradition of commitment to excellence, and we believe our enduring investment philosophy is well positioned to continue serving our investors' needs over time.

Investment Philosophy

Franklin Global Advisers encompasses a range of investment disciplines, but every portfolio is driven by a belief that superior risk-adjusted returns can be achieved over time by using a team-oriented, collaborative approach and disciplined, bottom-up fundamental research.

Investment Process

In building client portfolios, each Franklin Global Advisers investment team follows its own proven discipline, but with a common approach that emphasizes fundamental, bottom-up investing. Securities are evaluated across multiple investment criteria including market opportunity, sustainability of business model, competitive positioning, management and execution, financial strength and profitability, and valuation. Our growth-oriented portfolios invest in companies that we believe exhibit sustainable growth characteristics, while our core/hybrid portfolios invest in companies with a greater emphasis on total return.

A director of portfolio management for each of three broad asset classes—U.S. Growth Equity, Non-U.S. and Global Growth Equity, and Core/Hybrid Strategies—leads a team of portfolio managers in their asset class. A lead portfolio manager is responsible for implementation of each specific strategy and is in turn supported by a large team of analysts, securities traders, risk managers, and other investment professionals. The goal of the entire group is on delivering long-term alpha to client portfolios.
